Terms and privacy

Cramrade is for people aged 18 and over. You must not use it if you are under 18. This includes joining a group quiz as a guest.

Your email and display name; your exams, topics and study settings; the text of your notes, cut into numbered pieces; the questions made from them; your answers and your study plan; the date you confirmed you are 18 or older.

Your tutor conversations, until you delete them.

Photos and uploaded files are deleted once their text is read; only the text is kept.

Lecture recordings are deleted from Cramrade’s server once they are turned into text. A copy of the sound stays in your browser on your own device, never sent to Cramrade, for up to 7 days or until you delete it, so you can save it as an audio file.

Cramrade never reads your calendar; the calendar link only sends your plan out.

Supabase stores your account and study data and runs the server code. Expo hosts the web app.

Google Gemini API, paid tier: reads your uploaded notes, photos and syllabuses, tidies the text, writes questions, rates how hard topics are and turns short pieces of text into number fingerprints (embeddings) to compare topics. On the paid tier Google does not use this data to improve its products; it keeps it for a limited time to check for abuse.

OpenAI API (GPT-6 Luna): writes questions from your notes and answers your questions as a study tutor, using only your notes. OpenAI does not use data sent to its API to train its models; it keeps it for up to 30 days to check for abuse, then deletes it. If OpenAI cannot answer, Google Gemini does this work instead.

Microsoft Azure AI Speech (MAI-Transcribe-2): turns your lecture recordings into text. Microsoft does not keep or store the sound or the text of these requests. If Microsoft cannot answer, Google Gemini turns the recording into text instead.

Questions, explanations, difficulty ratings and tidied text are made by AI from your own notes. AI can be wrong. Each question shows the quote from your notes it came from, so you can check it. Cramrade never adds facts to your notes; unclear words are marked for you to fix.

To get a copy of your data or to delete your account and your notes, email [email protected] from the email you signed up with.

If these terms change, the date at the top changes too.
